What is NEM 2.0?

NEM 2.0 is available today and for a short period of time to come. Under NEM 2.0 the utility will buy back the excess power you generate. Clients gaining approval for this program prior to April 2023 will be grandfathered and able to reap NEM 2.0 benefits for the next 20 years. This program allows you to generate credits during the summer and use those credits in the evening hours and winter months when solar power systems generate less power. In the summer months excess solar power flows back to the Grid supplying power to your community. Thus creating green energy benefits for all that consume it. In the future with NEM 3.0 this buy back option is virtually non-existent.
